Garden Club with Special Guest Paige Mizell, Vice President of Mizell’s Camellia Hill Nursery In-Person

Join us we welcome Paige Mizell who will be presenting:

Camellias- History, Species, Planting, Care & Popular Cultivars

A look at Camellias their long history, various species, proper planting and care and popular and interesting cultivars.

A little about Paige Mizell:

I have always worked on the side with my parents throughout my childhood in various horticultural endeavors and began working full time at the nursery in 2014. Prior to that I was a junior high and high school teacher and coached soccer, the dance team and was the sponsor of the Key Club. I have a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in criminal justice, a master’s degree in low incidence disabilities special education and applied clinical psychology and Ph.D. in applied clinical sports psychology. I am also the current president of the Southeast Louisiana Nursery Association and the Event Coordinator for the Village of Folsom.

We are excited to have her come and teach us more about these beautiful plants.
